Adam Stronach - Profile
Adam Stronach is a forensic accountant, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Academy of Experts and of the Expert Witness Institute.
Adam has been involved in forensic accounting, expert witness and litigation support work for 20 years, receiving instructions from solicitors on a wide range of matters. He has acted for claimants, defendants and as a single joint expert, preparing reports for Court, meeting experts to prepare joint statements and assisting Counsel where appropriate.
Adam has given oral evidence in the High Court and in the family courts.
Adam has accumulated considerable experience acting as accountant in a wide range of commercial clients. He is also a registered auditor and has audited a range of entities including commercial companies and professional firms.
Adam also provides corporate finance advisory and transaction services to clients, including a fully quoted US business.
Adam brings his knowledge and experience of audit, accountancy, taxation and corporate finance to his practice as a forensic accountant, providing reports grounded in common business sense and which are practical and technically robust.
Adam is a member of the Audit and Assurance, Tax and Corporate Finance faculties of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Adam provides a range of Solicitors Regulation Authority accredited training seminars and workshops to solicitors firms.
John Brace - Profile
John Brace is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a member of the Academy of Experts, the Expert Witness Institute and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
He became involved in forensic accounting some 25 years ago. This stemmed from undertaking expert witness assignments predominantly in matrimonial cases frequently requiring investigation into missing assets and undisclosed income.
John’s work widened to include accountants’ professional negligence, partnership and shareholder disputes and construction related matters, the latter reflecting his 15 years’ experience in the construction industry.
John trained in public practice in London following which he held senior finance posts in the construction industry. He then started his own construction business which he sold by way of an MBO and returned to public practice at Harwood Hutton where he is now managing director. John was a member of the Council of the Association of Chartered the Certified Accountants (ACCA) for nine years and served as President in their centenary year. He has contributed to the development of the accounting profession in the UK and Europe through membership of ACCA, FRC and FEE committees. He currently sits on the ACCA Global Forum for Audit and Assurance.
John has given evidence in County Court, the High Court in London, Magistrates Court, Crown Court, the Central Criminal Court and Tax Tribunals. He has also given evidence before the then Trade and Industry Committee.
Emma obtained a BSc Combined Honours in Business Administration and Psychology from Aston University and joined Menzies Chartered Accountants after graduation. She became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1997.
Emma joined Deloitte in 1998 and initially worked in Deloitte’s Audit and Business Services Group and in 2000 transferred to Deloitte’s Forensic & Dispute Service Group, becoming a Senior Manager in that team. In 2006 she left Deloitte to join Monitor (Independent Regulator of NHS Foundation Trust) where she carried out financial due diligence n NHS trusts. Emma joined Harwood Hutton in 2012 where she is a Corporate and Forensic Services Executive.
